Back taxes and Social Security levies

According to the Social Security Administration (“SSA”) Office of Retirement and Disability Policy, 67 million people received benefits from the Social Security Administration in 2017.  87.7% of the $996.6 billion dollars used to fund social security were sourced from 2017 payroll taxes.[1]

The money withheld from current paychecks pays for current social security recipients. Although employees and employers overwhelmingly fund social security for the elderly and disabled, the Federal government still controls the laws and disbursements of such funds including the use of social security levies in the case of back taxes.

Uninsured rate under Trump surges to highest level since Obamacare began

The percentage of American adults without health insurance surged upward in 2018, reaching levels not recorded since before President Trump took office, according to a new national survey that revealed widespread coverage losses over the last two years.

At the end of 2018, 13.7% of U.S. adults were uninsured, up from 10.9% at the end of 2016, when President Obama was completing his second term.

Beginning in 1960, about 40 missions (with about 60 spacecraft) have been launched toward the Red Planet. About 40 percent have succeeded, at least in part. Though the spectacular successes make it look easy, exploring Mars has proven to be one of the most difficult endeavors humans have ever attempted.
