Chanukah is one of those holidays that is a grandparents’ dream. It has everything.
Concerts, candle lighting, parades, dreidel contests, menorah making. The JewishColorado calendar has these events listed and taking the time to share with your children and your grandchildren and your friends, what a gift.
Make a menorah and make a memory. Share a concert with others in the community, many are free. Join in the menorah car parade and grab that holiday spirit.
Here are some of your choices:
December 2- Light up Chanukah, a family event from 10 until 2;
December 2- A Family Chanukah Service Project from 1-4
December 2-Chanukah on Ice, 3 until 5;
December 3-JewishColorado Menorah Lighting from 5 until 7;
December 4-Stapleton Menorah Lighting at 5:30;
December 5-Chanukah at the Capital at 5:15;
December 8-Cirque de HEA from 5 until 8.
This is by no means everything, but should be plenty to share with your grandchildren. Check out JewishColorado Community Calendar for listings of place and time.
If your grandchildren are not in town, join the many events around town, such as menorahs and martinis. Join others, share a craft project & send it to your grandchildren. From your heart to theirs.
Play dreidel, have a sufganiot, fry a latke. Tell our story of sadness and success. Share the joy of Chanukah with your family. Most of all, light your menorah proudly in your window, gathering friends and family around.
