Weight loss byte by Dr. Heidi Tessler

March 7, 2016

Okay you mastered the 10,000 steps a day that you need to burn enough calories to lose 1 pound per week (provided you keep caloric intake stable.) It was easy..wasn’t it? Just find a friend to talk to and you won’t notice you are actually exercising. A few loops around Crestmoor Park…or Wash Park..and you are done.

Now go for the Amish 13,000! * The Amish don’t follow a weight loss diet. They eat meat, potatoes and home made pie. And they don’t drive…they walk! On average 13,000 steps a day. A whopping 0% obesity amongst Amish men and 4% amongst Amish women.
